Tea leaves have been harvested from very old trees in Baoshan’s still existent ancient groves. The trees in these old groves can be 600-800+ years old. Ancient trees put down deep roots and pull up the complex flavors from the forest floor. They grow autonomously having completely adapted to their environment, Artisanal crafters have meticulously sun withered, hand bruised and rolled, oxidized, and fire roasted this exquisite red/black tea. Notes of dark Jamaican rum, black currant, and dried black fig, with a smooth finish.
