Duyun Mao Jian

Duyun Mao Jian was officially recorded as “tribute tea” in the Ming dynasty and a medaled entrant in the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Expo. These very distinctive, delicate, and curly tea buds are known as furry tips as one side has downy white fur. This tea grows in a rainforest-like climate on karst mountains in mild temperatures. Hand-plucking and bell roasting in early spring ensures a complex aroma/flavor profile. Notes of high mountain spring, smoked almonds, toast, and a mellow sweet finish.
